Now this has got to be one of the most Iconic toys of my time on this planet.... Postman Pat's Van!
When I grew up in the 80's I loved Postman Pat, but I was maybe a little to old to have one of the Postman Pat Van Toys when they eventually were made!
Now though 30 Years later, my son is two years old and he absolutely loves Postman Pat. So now I...errr he... has his very own Postman Pat Special Delivery Service Van 
Postman Pats Van was originally modeled on the real Bedford HA Van and sports the number plate "Pat 1". During the first ever series of Postman Pat the Royal Mail gave their permission for Pat's, now famous Van, to show the real Royal Mail insignia. This makes all the difference in my opinion and make Postman Pat more real.
We got one of these Postman Pat Special Delivery Service Vans for our Son for Christmas and I have been very impressed with it and infact all the other Postman Pat Toys we got him are of a really high quality. This is really well constructed using strong plastic, is very hardy and can handle being roughly played with.
Whats in the Box?
Aswell as the Van you also get a fantastic Postman Pat Action Figure which unlike most action figures is made of nice softish plastic that you can bend a little bit, which is great as it helps to get him inside the Van!
With two parcels for Pat to deliver which go in the back of the van, the doors open and are fairly easy for little hands to open and close. The two side doors open and there is space for two characters to sit in the Van, or just Pat and Jess.
Unfortunately you don't get a Jess with this Postman Pat Special Delivery Service Van, but there is a little bit that you can stick Jess onto so he doesn't move around. You can get Jess in other Postman Pat Figure packs that I will be adding to this site very soon.
The best bit about this Postman Pat Van has got to be the button on the top that when pressed, plays the Special Delivery Service theme! It also plays a selection of phrases from Postman Pat too and the quality of the speaker and the recording quality are top notch.
